After making headlines last week with her โbisexual bombshellโ, Cate Blanchett has now denied having had any โlesbianโ relationships in the past.
The Australian actress had been quoted in her interview with Variety saying that she had had โmanyโ relationships with women in the past.
In her interview with Variety, Blanchett was supposedly asked by the interviewer if this was her first time โas a lesbianโ, to which Cate replied โOn film โ or in real life?โ

And when further pressed on whether sheโd had relationships in the past, the actress reportedly confirmed it by saying, โYes. Many times.โ
But in a recent conference at Cannes the mother-of-four claimed she had been misquoted.
โFrom memory, the conversation ran, โHave you had relationships with women?โ And I said, โYes, many times. If you mean Iโve had sexual relationships with them, the answer is โNoโ,โ she said, โBut that obviously didnโt make it to print.โ
The journalist who wrote the story, however, denies that he misquoted her, tweeting, โWhen I asked Cate Blanchett if sheโd had lesbian relationships in real life, she said: โMany times.โ She was accurately quoted.โ

Cate, however, isnโt fussed about the โlesbianโ tag.
โIn 2015, the point should be: โWho cares?'โ she added.
Cate is currently in Cannes promoting her new film, Carol.
