Cate Blanchett has apparently celebrated her Oscars win with a new tattoo.
The 44-year-old actress was spotted yesterday leaving the Shamrock Social Club tattoo parlour with fellow thespian Amy Adams and some other friends.
Cate was seen embracing and chatting with Amy before walking out of the famed tattoo hotspot with a dark bandage covering her wrist.
While employees of the West Hollywood parlour remained hush-hush on whether their high profile clientele had gotten inked many speculate that a tattoo wouldn’t be out of character for Cate, whose fun-loving award season attitude has captivated the hearts of many.
Blanchett, who gushed over Adams in her acceptance speech, admitted she nearly missed accepting her award because she was too busy at the bar with fellow nominee, Julia Roberts.
Cate also cheekily swore during a press conference which was broadcast live on television. When an Aussie journalist highlighted that she was the first Australian actor to win two Oscars the actress quipped, “And don’t you f—–g forget it.”
At 44, Cate joins an exclusive alumnus of actors, including the likes of Marlon Brando, Gary Cooper, Bette Davis, Robert De Niro and Elizabeth Taylor who have all won two Academy Awards.
