The lockdown birthday is usually a makeshift affair that doesn’t quite hold up to the festivities that would have been had in normal circumstances.
However, Carrie Bickmore has smashed that notion by coming up with the most incredible and hilarious way to celebrate her partner Chris Walker’s birthday – and it will definitely be a moment he will remember forever.
Carrie enlisted the help of Chris’ alleged “hall pass” to ring in his milestone 40th birthday.
The dashing Hollywood star in on the plan was none other than the charming Ryan Reynolds.
In the video, Ryan stands in front of a slideshow of Carrie and Chris’ moments together as he relays a hilarious message dedicated to the producer.
He started his speech with the dry humour we all know and love from the actor.
“Chris, this is Ryan Reynolds, don’t hang up. I just want to wish you a very very happy birthday. Carrie didn’t even tell me it was your birthday; I just had it in the calendar, I don’t know why it was there, but I wanted to wish you a very happy 40th,” he began.
The 44-year-old proceeded to ease Chris into his fortieth year by pointing out all the fun times ahead.
“It’s a great birthday, it’s a huge milestone, get your prostate checked, call an ospie on the way – it’s going to be amazing you’re going to have so much fun. The fourth level is the best level… so, happy birthday Chris,” he finished.

Carrie took to her Instagram to add her own chirpy message alongside the video for her partner and father of her daughters, Adelaide and Evie.
She wrote, “When your boyfriend’s 40th birthday celebrations are cancelled because of covid, you call in the big guns. His hall pass @vancityreynolds 🥰.
“Happy birthday babe!!!! Love you so much @chriswalkertv ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
On her Instagram story, the host of The Project shared some videos of her family getting into the party mood.

Carrie commented on her daughters dancing around the house for their dad with the message, “Family dance party mum gone wild.”
The presenter was the last to feature her own dance in the film, which she captioned, “Fav song at the moment Elton and Dua. Happy birthday, babe @chriswalkertv.”
We can’t imagine Chris has much to complain about regarding his fun-filled lockdown birthday.
