On the eve of her return, the 34-year-old took to Instagram to pay tribute to her divine daughter.
“Soaking up bath time with my little honey tonight as this time tomorrow I’ll be back on Project time.#GonnaMissHerLikeCrazy #love #blessed #work #life#busy #excited,” she wrote on Sunday, alongside a sweet snap of little Evie in a knitted pink beanie and flamingo print onesie.
Gorgi Coghlan has been filling in for the mother-of-two, who also has a seven-year-old son Oliver with her late husband Greg Lange, during her maternity leave. But as of Monday, the beloved blonde beauty will be back in the hot seat.
Speaking about re-joining the popular show Carrie told News.com.au: “There is a lot of mixed emotion.”
“I think any mum going back to work will tell you that there is a little pit in your stomach that does feel torn. I’m so excited about going back to work but I’ve absolutely loved being home with Evie.”
Carrie has enlisted the help of her mother and a nanny to take care of her two kids as she settles back into the flow of things. The star is also trying to take a more relaxed approach to the whole work/life balance quest.
“I’m trying not to over think. I’ve decided I’m just going to do it and I’ll deal with the issues as they arise, as opposed to the way I normally deal with things which is to over-plan everything and get myself into an absolute tizz,” she explained.

Following her triumphant acceptance speech for the Gold Logie for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television, in which she paid tribute to her late husband Greg and his long battle with brain cancer, Carrie has won a whole new legion of fans.
“Overwhelming is the word I would use. I’ve been inundated with letters and emails and calls from people wanting to share their stories – and encouraging me to do more,” the Adelaide local told News.com.au of the amazing response.
Meanwhile whispers of a potential engagement to her partner Chris continue to swirl after she was spotted wearing a two silver bands on her left hand last month.
