Former host of The Project, Carrie Bickmore has announced her latest career move on social media.
Taking to Instagram, Bickmore described her new role as a “career and parenting highlight,” sharing with fans that she voiced a character in the latest episode of Australian children’s show Bluey.
Bickmore’s announcement was certainly full of excitement, with the TV presenter sharing a video of her two daughters reacting to their mum’s cameo.
“My girls watching my 2 seconds of fame on the latest episode of Bluey! What a genuine thrill to be a part of such an incredible show,” wrote Bickmore, playfully adding, “I think ‘Terrier’s mum’ needs to be a regular character.”
Fans were equally as excited by Carrie’s latest career move, with one commenting, “Ok, I hear it now!! Also, will need constant updates on the Terrier’s mum and Winston’s dad situation as it unfolds.”
“It’s all downhill from a guest appearance on Bluey babe! Your life has reached its pinnacle,” wrote another.

While Bluey marks Bickmore’s return to our screens, the presenter has also been busy translating her television talent into the world of radio, hosting Hit Network’s drive show Carrie & Tommy alongside fellow The Project panellist Tommy Little.
The fan favourite resigned from The Project in October 2022 to prioritise more time with her family.
“It’s been the hardest decision of my professional life to make this call, but it’s time for a new challenge, time for the next chapter,” Bickmore said in her announcement.
“There’s so much I’m going to miss. I’m going to miss my best mates on the desk, the job itself, which is incredibly fulfilling, [and] the wonderful viewers over the past 13 years.”
