“We couldn’t be happier to begin our new journey together surrounded by our closest family and friends,” the couple said in an official statement to PEOPLE.
The pair sealed the deal at Cameron’s home in Beverly Hills today, with huge white marquees seen being set up. Some of the famous guests in attendance included Reese Witherspoon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Samantha Ronson and Robin Antin.
Benji’s nephew, Sparrow, served as the ring bearer – the son of Joel Madden and Nicole Richie – who has claimed that she was the one who originally set the pair up.
Nicole also served as a bridesmaid alongside Cameron’s BFF Drew Barrymore, her sister Chimene and assistant Jesse Lutz.
Truck loads of white flowers from Velvet Garden florist along with chairs and tables were seen being delivered to the gated community home where the pair lives.
The couple, who began dating in May, hosted an intimate rehearsal dinner with their close family and friends over the weekend at Il Cielo in Los Angeles.
Cameron even squeezed in a Bachelorette party on Sunday night, hitting up a hotel in LA with her girlfriends.
Celebrity wedding planner Yifat Oren, who has planned weddings for Reese Witherspoon and Drew Barrymore, has also been spotted at Cameron’s home directing party rental trucks.
“There is a lot of security and they are trying to keep the wedding hush-hush by telling neighbors that Cameron is having a pre-Golden Globes party tonight,” a source told People magazine.
“It will start past dark tonight. They are setting things up in the lush backyard.”
Benji, 35, reportedly asked Cameron’s family for her hand in marriage when he spent time with them in Florida late last year.
Rumours have circulated about a potential wedding for some time, in spite of Cameron previously claiming she doesn’t care too much for marriage.
“I’m not looking for a husband or marriage,” adding, “I don’t know if anyone is really naturally monogamous. We all have the same instincts as animals.”
Despite Cameron’s previous comments on marriage, it looks like Benji has swept her off her feet!
