And as one third of one of the most successful sibling trios in the Australian entertainment industry, Cameron Daddo knows a thing or two about trying to get men to open up about their struggles.

With Fatherโ€™s Day fast approaching, the Home And Away star is using his platform to help spread a simple message by encouraging men to get out into their communities and talk to one another.

โ€œMy mission is just to get blokes talking,โ€ Cameron explained in a new interview on The Morning Show on Tuesday.

โ€œI think the more that we are able to practice communication, the better off our world is. The more we train and the more we practice in a confidential setting with other guys, the better we are in real-life situations,โ€ the actor continued.

Putting his money where his mouth is, the 55-year-old has teamed up with My Menโ€™s Team, which encourages men to come together within their communities to speak to one another and offer support.

โ€œJust last week, I had a very awkward conversation that I needed to have with someone really close to me.โ€

โ€œBecause I had already had that type of conversation with my teammates, when I had a conversation with my friend, with that person, it went really well, because I had already done it before.โ€

โ€œIt could have gone either way. He could have said I was an idiot and went on his way, but we went way deeper and we are better mates as a result,โ€ the Logie award-winning star admitted.

Cameron looks to his own father Peter Daddo as the ultimate source of inspiration.

โ€œDad is amazing,โ€ he beamed to Morning Show hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies.

Meanwhile the actor, who is married to supermodel Alison Brahe, also opened up about his shock return to Home And Away playing the late Evanโ€™s long lost twin brother.

โ€œOwen doesnโ€™t know who Evan is โ€“ but weโ€™re about to find out tomorrow night,โ€ Cameron teased of the bombshell plot twist.

โ€œThings were just going so well on Home And Away. I loved working there and it was just a mutual meeting there.โ€

โ€œWe were wondering how we could extend this because we already established that Evan was going to die.โ€

Heโ€™s back! Having delivered a moving performance as Ryderโ€™s long-lost dying father Evan Slater in Home And Away, Cameron Daddo is set to make a return to the hit show playing Evanโ€™s twin brother.
