But for singer Taylor Swift and her rumoured boyfriend Calvin Harris, it looks like she’s leaving that job up to her beloved bevy of pet cats.
And so far the 31-year-old DJ and Tay’s furry friends haven’t gotten off to the best star, with In Touch magazine reporting Calvin is extremely allergic to her beloved feline friends.
“He sniffles and sneezes whenever they’re around,” a source told the weekly publication.
In fact, his allergies are said to be so severe that it’s seriously hindering his quality of life.
“When Calvin was at her house he was up all night blowing his nose and complaining that he couldn’t breathe,” the insider explained.
Adding: “He begged her to lock the cats in another room, but she refused.”
In a last ditch effort to ensure some sneeze-free down time with his new squeeze, the Feel So Close hitmaker even suggested they head to a hotel room but pals claim Swifty thought that idea was far from purrfect.
Meanwhile on social media Calvin appears to be in damage control.
Shortly after following 25-year-old Taylor on Instagram this week, he proceeded to like a video of her cat Olivia Benson. Coincidence? We think not!
Calvin and Taylor were first linked in February after they were spotted cosying up at the Brit Awards in London. And since then, the pair have been joined at the hip.
