The Swans suffered a devastating 81-point loss to the Geelong Cats on Saturday.

Jesinta took to Instagram after the crushing loss to heap praise on Buddy, her husband of six years and the seventh-greatest goal-kicker in AFL history.

“Thanks to everyone for all of your beautiful messages of support over the last week. Not the result we had all dreamed of, however, it’s not lost on me how special (and hard) it was to have made it to this point,” she penned.

“Congrats to the Cats, the families and fans on a great win. Footy can be tough but my gosh it has brought us a lot of joy over the years too, a bit of heartbreak and disappointment is all part of it,” she continued.

“Love our @sydneyswans fam and fans we feel very lucky to be on this journey with such a great group of people, it’s what makes everything worth it. Lots of love ❤️”

In her heartfelt post, Jesinta shared an adorable photo of Tullulah and Rocky watching the grand final at the MCG wearing number 23 jerseys emblazoned with the word “Daddy”.

MAFS star Martha Kalifatidis, The Bachelor‘s Anna Heinrich and TV personality Kylie Gillies showed their support for the Franklins by commenting a simple love heart emoji under Jesinta’s post.

In July this year, the mother-of-two exclusively revealed to Now To Love that she and Buddy are hoping they can spend more “quality time together as a family.”

“Right now, it feels like a grind with work, and Buddy is still playing football. We feel like ships in the night sometimes,” she said.

“There is just a lot on, so I think definitely for us being able to pair back on work a little bit and just spend more time.”
