Demi Moore is keen to reinvigorate her acting career, as well as her love life, and she’s turning to none other than ex-husband Bruce Willis to help out.
The 53-year-old and her ex haven’t worked together since their 1991 blockbuster, Mortal Thoughts, but the talk buzzing around Tinseltown suggests that could all change.
According to insiders, they’re planning to work together in lead roles, Brad and Angelina style.
“They know it would boost their careers to team up in the right project,” a source told OK! Magazine.
“They still have this great flirty chemistry,” the insider quipped before adding they want their roles to be “an acrimonious couple, but funny and sexy.”
Demi, 53, and Bruce, 60, were married from 1987 until 2000 and have three daughters together — Rumer, 27, Scout, 24, and Tallulah, 21.
Recently the pair came together to support their eldest daughter, Rumer Willis, as she took out the Dancing With the Stars USA title at the start of 2015.
During the competition, Rumer and her mum spoke about the family dynamics changing in 1998, when the two stars parted ways, going on to divorce in 2000.
Demi later married Ashton Kutcher in 2005 and split from the younger star after six years, and Bruce is still married to his second wife Emma Heming.
“When their father and I decided to divorce it probably had the biggest impact on her [Rumer],” Demi said.
“When she said, ‘I think I wanna do Dancing With the Stars,’ my whole insides, I have to be honest, were screaming ‘No,'” Demi admitted.
“But, one of the most beautiful things that I’ve witnessed is watching her passion become greater than her fear… It has nothing to do with her being my kid or Bruce’s kid, it has everything to do with just who she is.”
“I’m crazy about Rumer,” Bruce agreed. “I love her.”
After Rumer took out the DWTS crown, her proud folks recorded the sweetest congratulatory message, which aired on Good Morning America.
Demi beamed, “You did it kid! And I love you, you worked so hard. I am so proud of you…”, while her dad cheekily added, “Get back out there!”.
In fact, these parents are not only Hollywood’s friendliest exes, they’re also New York neighbours!
Two years ago, In Touch revealed that Bruce purchased an $8.8 million apartment in the Manhattan building that his ex-wife has called home for several years.
According to an insider, “Demi actually encouraged Bruce to buy the home.”
Well if Ramsay Street has taught us anything, everybody needs good neighbours!
