Brooklyn Beckham, the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham, has reportedly signed a short-term academy contract with British Premiere league club Arsenal and is due to represent them for the rest of the season. Should he put on an impressive performance, he could be offered a professional contract.

Brooklyn has been training with Arsenal and playing for their under-16s side and has previously had trials with Chelsea, Manchester United, Queens Park Rangers and Fulham.

“Brooklyn is talented and he has stood out in all of the training sessions and games he has played…Arsenal realise he can be a huge talent. They have seen that potential and protected their asset,” a source at Arsenal told theDaily Star.

“Next summer we may see him sign a big-money deal and with Arsenal”

It’s believed the young prodigy (and part time male-model) is highly sought after, having also been offered a spot with highly-respected London based team Chelsea and David’s former team Manchester United – who he signed with at just 16-years-old.

It heralded the start of a long and illustrious career in football for David who would later become captain of the English team and played for international teams including Real Madrid, Milan, Los Angeles Galaxy and Paris Saint-Germain.

Although professional contracts cannot officially be signed until the player reaches the age of 17, clubs can come to pre-agreements with the players beforehand.

But Brooklyn may have some rivalry in his little sister Harper, whom David Beckham has previously bragged has some pretty fine soccer skills of her own.

In fact, it seems that the whole young Beckham clan are set for life. Romeo Beckham was recently announced as the face of British fashion label Burberry’s 2014 Christmas campaign.

If soccer doesn’t work out for Brooklyn, it sounds like he’s always got modelling as an option to fall back on. Meanwhile, his little brother Cruz, 9, is also lining up with Arsenal as a member of the Under-10 side while Romeo, 12, plays for Arsenal’s Under-13s.

I guess it’s not hard to get such a start in life when your parents, are reported to be worth over $6oo million. Their fashion designer mother Victoria was recently named entrepreneur of the year, and their Dad David Beckham, while now officially retired from soccer, has countless modelling and promotional jobs under his belt including H&M underwear, and most recently launched his own line of whiskey.

So far, neither the Beckhams nor Arsenal has publicly confirmed that the reports are true – but we’re imagining that whatever Brooklyn’s future is – it looks exceptionally bright!

Soccer’s not the only way that Brooklyn is following in David’s footsteps, having also launched a career as a male model, like his dad who models for H&M. Brooklyn has already been featured on the covers of The New York Times’ T Magazine and Man About Town magazine.

With an illustrious career already lining up for Brooklyn, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree in the Beckham family. Mum Victoria was recently named entrepreneur of the year for her efforts launching and running her own fashion label.

Just like dad David, it seems that Brooklyn also has his own famous WAG already lined up, as he is reportedly dating the stunning 17-year-old actress Chloe Grace-Moretz.

We wonder if Chloe will make a return to some of the fashions that Victoria used to wear back in her WAG hey-day!
