Brad Pitt has spoken about his divorce from Angelina Jolie as the actress claims she had to file for divorce so their kids would be “safeguarded”.
The actor has remained scarce since the news went public and while walking the red carpet for his new film Allied on Wednesday the actor said he’s found support from his fans.
“It’s really sweet, everyone has been really kind out here,” he told E! News. “It’s really nice to have all the support.”
On Wednesday it was reported that Pitt has been cleared by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services after being investigated for alleged child abuse – TMZ reports that the D.C.F.S. has not only cleared Pitt of the current charge but has ruled out any reports of a repeated pattern of misconduct on his part.
Jolie, who filed for divorce, released a statement to TMZ via her representative saying she does not regret taking the action that she did.
It’s believed that both parties have come to a custody arrangement that includes “therapeutic visits with their father” which have been “determined by child-care professionals to be in the children’s best interest,” according to Jolie’s representative.
