Brad Pitt is reportedly not ready to go down without a fight when it comes to family.
He’s reportedly signaled his intentions to fight against estranged wife Angelina Jolie’s request for sole physical custody.
Sources have come forward to TMZ claiming Brad says there is “no chance” Angie will get sole custody.
Instead, the Fight Club actor will reportedly seek joint custody of Maddox, Zahara, Pax, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox.
According to insiders, Brad doesn’t want to interfere with Ange’s ability to parent, but he also wants to be involved in the kids’ lives himself.
An insider close to the former couple told People that Brad thinks “sole custody for either of them doesn’t seem like what’s best for the children.”
“Brad thinks Angelina is a great mother,” the source continued, “But he is also a great father. There is no way he is going to be absent for any part of his kids’ lives.”
The source says that despite Brad disputing the Maleficent actress’s custody demands, the battle is not likely to be a long one.
“This will ideally be resolved, amicably, long before any sort of legal battle ensues,” the source said.
Brad can’t stand the idea of a life without being involved in his kids’ daily lives.
The plot has also thickened as Brad’s co-star and rumoured flame, Marion Cotillard, has released a statement addressing her involvement with the actor while confirming reports out of France she is indeed pregnant with her second child to husband, Guillaume Canet.
“This is going to be my first and only reaction to the whirlwind news that broke 24 hours ago and that I was swept up into. I am not used to commenting on things like this nor taking them seriously but as this situation is spiraling and affecting people I love, I have to speak up,” Marion posted to Instagram.
“Firstly, many years ago, I met the man of my life, father of our son and of the baby we are expecting. He is my love, my best friend, the only one that I need.”
Marion and Guillaume already share a five-year-old son called Marcel.
She continued: “Secondly to those who have indicated that I am devastated, I am very well thank you. This crafted conversation isn’t distressing. And to all the media and the haters who are quick to pass judgment, I sincerely wish you a swift recovery.”
“Finally, I do very much wish that Angelina and Brad, both whom I deeply respect, will find peace in this very tumultuous moment. With all my love Marion,” the French star concluded.
The French actress has finally broken her silence on the scandal.
Brad is seeking joint custody with Ange.
Meanwhile it’s been claimed by OK! Magazine that Angelina’s brother, James Haven, has become the full-time nanny for the Jolie-Pitt kids.
“Brad’s absolutely working his butt off right now and the kids rarely see him,” a source recently explained.
“He leaves for the set before they wake and comes home after they’ve gone to bed.”

In his statement to the press yesterday Brad reaffirmed his focus was on the children.
Another insider explained: “Both Brad and Angelina care very much about their kids and there is sadness on both sides.”
Meanwhile, Angelina has released a second statement to the press since filing for divorce, amid reports she’s set up a “war room” in a rented Los Angeles home where she’s planning her take down of Brad.
Angelina reaffirmed her commitment to her children in a second statement.
“Angelina will always do what’s in the best interest of taking care of her family,” the star said through her lawyer, Geyer Kosinski.
“She appreciates everyone’s understanding of their need for privacy at this time.”
According to the Daily Mail, moving vans were spotted entering their Hollywood Hills home, reportedly to take furniture away to Ange’s new hideaway home.
Brad was reportedly extremely unhappy that Ange went to the press first.
According to the reports, Brad is furious that Ange went to the press with their divorce, rather than keeping it quiet for the sake and safety of the children.
The Oceans Eleven actor reportedly “unleashed hell” over the reports in the press of his alleged alcohol and drug abuse that he believes came straight from Angelina.
Their home is now apparently swarming with paparazzi, and regularly patrolled by the LAPD.
