Attending the 3rd annual Light Up The Blues Concert in Hollywood, Brad gave a speech onstage but it was his prominent shiner under his left eye that left people talking.
So is Brad, 51, hosting his own secret fight club gatherings like the 1999 movie in which he starred?
Nope… Sadly not!, The culprit, Brad insists, was in fact a pair of thongs!
Speaking to People magazine he explained: “This is what happens when you try to run up steps in the dark, with your arms full, wearing flip flops.”
“Turns out if you then try to stop your forward momentum with your face, the result is road rash.
“Regardless, I wasn’t going to miss the Autism Speaks benefit the night after – wonderful people and I was honoured to be a part of this important event.”
The Light Up bash was hosted by funnyman Jack Black who auctioned off a Fender guitar for $23,000 – and unsurprisingly, it was Brad who outbid everybody else to win that particular auction.
Other famous faces in attendance at the event included Christina Applegate, Gary Cole and Amy Brenneman and iconic musicians Neil Young and Steve Stills.
