Brad Pitt has been left shocked and saddened after Angelina Jolie last week announced she will adopt another child as a single mother.
Officials confirmed the actress had filed the necessary papers to adopt a young boy from Vietnam as a sole parent, because local laws allow only legally married couples to adopt together.
Now friends say Brad, 31, would rather go down the path alone than make their romance official.
