New reports today suggest Hollywood power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may be looking to expand their brood. Again.
It’s no secret that the couple have a lot of love to give. They already have six children– Cambodian-born Maddox, 13, Ethiopian Zahara, 10, Vietnamese Pax, 11, six-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne and Shiloh. But now, apparently, they are thinking of adopting another baby– this time from Syria.
A source told The Express that Jolie,39, was “moved to tears on several occasions over the plight of youngsters orphaned in the Syrian conflict”. The UN Ambassador visited the war-torn region recently and was apparently devastated by the thousands of distressed and orphaned children desperate for a loving home.
The star only recently shared with the world that she had undergone a hysterectomy and double mastectomy to reduce her risk of developing breast or ovarian cancer as a carrier of the BRCA1 gene. This has, obviously, rendered her unable to carry any more of her own children.
“Now that she has sorted out her health issues, she and Brad believe the time is right to adopt another orphan from there, most likely a daughter,” a source close to the couple told The Express.
“Angelina’s feeling good about turning 40 in June with a clean bill of health, but what will make her happiness complete is seeing a new little face at the dinner table.”
Though the couple have not yet confirmed the rumours, given their love of children and large brood already, we would hardly be surprised.
