Woman’s Day understands that a picture of Bobbi Kristina Brown in her coffin is being offered for sale to American magazines and websites.
While the image has so far not been shopped to Australian media outlets, we’re told that the image, allegedly taken by an “extended family member”, shows the 22-year-old in her coffin during a private viewing on Friday ahead of her funeral last Saturday in Georgia.
Rumours are circulating this morning that a US outlet has offered $100,000 for the picture.
Understandably, Bobbi’s family is devastated by the news, but, as we reported yesterday, Bobbi’s funeral was plagued with in-fighting between the Houstons and the Browns.
Gossip website TMZ reports that the warring clans are now blaming each other for the mysterious photo leak, which mirrors a similarly sickening incident when Bobbi’s mum Whitney died in 2012 – back then, American tabloid The National Enquirer published a leaked picture of the late singer in her casket.
It’s not the first time an unauthorised picture of Bobbi Kristina, who passed away last week after lying comatose in hospital for six months, has been circulated for sale.
Last month, Gossip Cop reported that a photo of Bobbi Kristina in her hospice bed “with a woman hovering over her” was also being touted for $100,000.
This week, Bobbi was laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in New Jersey, next to her mum Whitney, who also died tragically in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Her dad, Bobby Brown, was described by witnesses as “seeming out of it”, while grandmother Cissy Houston followed her granddaughter’s hearse “looking sad with her hands in a prayerful position”.
