Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina has been lifted out of her medically-induced coma only to begin having seizures and be placed back under again.
“She was taken off the drugs, but she began having violent seizures,” a family source told People magazine.
“She is being put back into a coma.”
Although being taken out of the coma seemed like positive news, the future now continues to remain uncertain for Bobbi Kristina, 21, whose life has hung in the balance since she was first found, unresponsive in the bathtub at the start of February.
“Bobby is beside himself,” the source said of Bobbi Kristina’s father and his feelings on this latest development.
As well as her father, Bobbi Kristina’s extended family members have rallied around her for what they thought believed could be the last time, to say their farewells.
“This is a horrible setback. Everyone was hopeful that this was the sign that she’d turned the corner. We were so optimistic,” the source said.

“Bobby is taking this so hard; he was sure this was going to be a good day. But please, everyone needs to pray for Krissi. I don’t care what religion you are, or if you have no religion at all. Send your thoughts, your prayers, your well-wishes. Send everything you’ve got. Please.”
Doctors are reportedly still searching for a remedy, with this latest solution an attempt to wean Bobbi off the heavy medication currently keeping her in the coma.
“There will be a sign of hope, and then nothing,” the family source said. “Every day, we wonder if this will be the day that we get good news.”

The fact that Bobbi recently underwent a tracheostomy is reportedly a positive sign though, because it’s believed that doctors would not perform this procedure if they believed that she was brain dead. Her life support would have been switched off if this was the case– as it was earlier believed may happen. Instead it seems the medical team is still searching for a solution.
The terrible turn of events has coincided with the three year anniversary of the death of Bobbi’s mother Whitney Houston, who was found in eerily circumstances, in the bathtub after consuming what would turn out to be a fatal cocktail of drugs.

A candlelight vigil heald for Bobbi in Atlanta, Georgia
The community have rallied around the family, with a public candlelight vigil for Bobbi held in Georgia near Atlanta’s Emory University Hospital, where Bobbi remains.
Her family have been trying to remain positive with Bobby Brown’s nephew Shayne Brown saying his cousin is improving.
“She’s getting better,” Shayne told Entertainment Tonight following the vigil. “We just ask for people to continue to pray. Krissy will be good. Everything will be alright.”
