On the cusp of her 17th birthday on Friday, the Australian wildlife warrior admitted to Entertainment Tonight that there is a special person in her life!

“There is someone special in my life right now, and I’m really happy with that. Life is wonderful at the moment,” she smiled coyly.

While she is keeping mum on who the lucky guy is, Bindi has been hanging 10 with American wakeboarder, Chandler Powell.

The wildlife crusader is also rumoured to be dating British zoo keeper, Luke Reavley, 24, who is head of elephants at Australia Zoo.

The pair have been spotted looking quite cosy, enjoying lunch at Byron Bay.

An onlooker said: “He only had eyes for her. He was being very protective towards her and looked at her with such adoration.”

While the pair have yet to confirm their relationship, referring to each other as “great friends”, sources tell us they’ve fallen head over heels, bonding over their shared love of animals.

The pair are also not afraid of flaunting their love on social media where Bindi has repeatedly posted cute coupley snaps of the two together.

Bindi’s potential boyfriend: American wakeboarder, Chandler Powell (R) OR British zoo keeper, Luke Reavley (L).

Steve Irwin’s eldest might not be spilling the beans on who she is dating but the wildlife warrior is happy to tell us the qualities she hopes her man possesses.

“He would have to be very kind and loyal,” she told ET. “You’ve got to love the outdoors, you’ve got to be able to go camping and love wildlife and have that same passion for making the world a better place.”

The outdoor lover also has list from her late father that any future beau must tick.

“Dad always said you can’t date till you’re 40, and he has to be able to swim across our largest crocodile pond before he can go out with you,” she laughed.

Speaking of her father, who she lost at the tender age of 8, Bindi was adamant about making him proud.

“Mum and Dad are truly my heroes,” the 16-year-old said. “And I have to say, so is my little brother Robert. He’s 11 and he’s just the most amazing boy. He’s so much like Dad sometimes it’s a bit scary. Dad is and always will be my living, breathing superhero.”

In February, Bindi fondly shared some poignant words about her dad to People.

“You’ll always carry a part of that person in your life. I realize that Dad would have wanted me to be happy, to carry love in my heart, and to love every single day.”
