Beyonce was in her hometown of Houston, Texas on September 8 helping the victims of Hurricane Harvey and had one very cute helper in tow – her daughter Blue Ivy!
Yep, Bey shared a number of adorbs Instagram pics showing her and her mini-me lending a much needed helping hand serving out meals to those in need and talking to the victims.
What’s more, the singer also stopped by St. John’s Church joined by her mother, Tina Lawson and Destiny Child gal pal Michelle Williams.
The singer was there on behalf of her foundation BeyGOOD and she took to the stage to speak to church members and survivors of Hurricane Harvey.
“I just wanna say that I’m home. This church is my home. I was maybe 9 or 10 years old the first time I sat there where my daughter is sitting,” Beyonce said.
“I sang my first solo here and I just wanna thank you for lifting my family up, for praying for me, and for being such an incredible example of what light and love is. This today is a celebration of survival.”
“Y’all are my family. Houston is my home. I thank God that you’re safe, your children are safe. I think that really matters is your health and your children and your family,” she continued.
“I just wanna say I love you. I’ve been blessed so that I can bless other people and I ask of God to continue to do that for other people.”
Bey’s charity has been influential in raising funds for the disaster and on September 12 appeared alongside other A-list celebs such as Reese Witherspoon, Jamie Foxx and Oprah Winfrey for a telethon to help raise further funds for victims.
Our hearts are going out to all the families affected by the hurricane.
