Ben Affleck seems determined to not let the love he once shared with Jennifer Garner die.
The Batman Vs Superman star is reportedly desperately trying to mend things between him and his estranged wife, and not just for the sake of their children.
A close friend of Jennifer’s confided in People magazine, saying “Ben wants Jen Back. Ben wants to get back together. He wants her back.”
But Jennifer is apparently not that keen to forgive and forget, and is holding out on rekindling their romance just yet.
“Jen isn’t ready to take Ben back,” the source said. “Ben has never been good alone and isn’t now either. But he’s constantly working on himself. He has made big changes.”
The once-model couple separated just one day after their 10th wedding anniversary in June 2015, amid a cheating rumours involving the 43-year-old and his children’s former nanny.
The pair frequently praise each other as parents.
Since the separation, the proud parents have been pouring all their love and energy into ensuring their three children Violet, Seraphina and Samuel feel happy and loved.
As far as Ben and Jen are concerned, when it comes to family it’s business as usual, with the brood continually spotted out an about together.
Last week they took time out of their busy schedules to take their children on a mini-break to Paris, and were pictured eating ice-cream together.
Ben and Jen always seemed like the perfect couple.
The family are currently based in London while Ben films Justice League.
While the newest Batman was busy filming, the 44-year-old 13 Going on 30 star took whisked the kids around on a whirlwind sightseeing tour. They visited famous attractions including the Sacré-Cœur, the Place de L’Opéra and the Jardin du Luxembourg.

Meanwhile Ben is still pining for Jen, and has taken to singing her praises whenever possible in a bid to win her heart.
“Jen is a superhero mum,” he told E! News. “She’s an amazing mother and I am really lucky to have her as a partner to co-parent these kids with.”
