Beckham boys want tattoos already

They’re good looking and they love their soccer, but it looks like David Beckham’s boys have inherited another of his traits – dad’s love of body ink.

Brooklyn, 14, Romeo, 11, and even Cruz, 8, have all insisted on getting tatts… just as soon as they get the nod from David and their mum Victoria Beckham.

But that go-ahead isn’t necessarily going to be forthcoming, with Becks apparently not bending that easily after all.

“[The boys] have already said they’re having tattoos done. And I said, ‘Well, be different, don’t have any tattoos,’” the former soccer star said on The Jonathan Ross Show.

However, the stylish Beckham boys have devised a cunning plan to get around papa’s permission issues.

“They said, ‘No, we’re going to have one. We’re going to have, “Mum and Dad.” So I can’t really say no to that,” Becks told Jonathan Ross.

David, who retired from soccer in May, now has more time to spend with his budding football players and takes all three of his boys to training and even referees their games.

But the lads don’t enjoy any Beckham bias, with Romeo recently ending up in tears when his dad made a call that resulted in a penalty for the opposing team.

“Romeo went to make a tackle in the penalty area, missed the ball and took the young kid down and I had to give a penalty,” he explained. “As we were running back Romeo was jogging behind and he turned around to me and said, ‘I can’t believe you did that to me, Dad.’ He was crying – it was a lesson for him.”

There have been constant rumours surrounding the Beckham lads signing with English football league teams but the soccer dad says there’s no truth to that and they’re just having fun.

“The unfortunate thing for the boys is, any time they go and have a kick about with the youth team at Chelsea or at Fulham, or even their Sunday league teams, people say they’re going to be playing for them,” Beckham said.

“That’s quite a lot of pressure on them as young kids. They’re just training at the moment. They’re enjoying themselves!”

As for the apple of dad’s eye, his two-year-old daughter Harper, Becks makes sure he has plenty of time for her. And while she also loves to kick a ball around with her brothers, she’s definitely picked up some of Victoria’s flair for fashion.

“[Harper] gets her outfit ready the night before and then she gets up in the morning, we go down to get her ready and she changes her mind,” Beckham said. “Then I’m in the room with Harper trying to pick out outfits and anything I pick out, which I think looks great, she puts back in. She’s two-and-a-half!”
