Bec and Lleyton Hewitt’s rekindled romance has him playing his best game in years.
It was a happier Bec Hewitt watching her husband battle it out at the US Open in New York last week. With the former Home And Away starlet, 30, and Lleyton, 32, enjoying the sort of “wedded bliss” that has at times eluded them, having Bec in the stands has proved the tennis champ’s secret comeback weapon.
“Bec was very cool, calm and collected, which reflects how things are going in their sometimes rocky relationship,” explains a family friend of her courtside manner. “It’s the most relaxed she has ever been as a spectator.”
She says in the past Bec has been “too preoccupied with kids or too emotional” to provide the support Lleyton needs playing big matches. “As a tennis WAG, Bec is high maintenance,” she says.
