Life on the pro tennis circuit is wearing down a fed-up and fatigued Bec Hewitt.
Just a few weeks ago, Bec Hewitt made a glamorous re-entry into the Australian celebrity world, telling fans she’d never been happier. Smiling broadly with her three children by her side in a shoot for The Australian Women’s Weekly, it was a Bec we hadn’t seen for years – confident and self-assured, speaking of her love for her husband despite the hardships of their frenetic pace of life.
But a familiar face returned last week – the thin, strained look of a touring tennis mum- of-three, who on top of juggling the kids was left to deal with the fallout from Lleyton’s angry outburst at the Queen’s Club Championships.
Insiders say there’s much more frustrating Lleyton than his continuing struggles in the sport, and when the pair were seen casting frosty looks towards each other courtside, it left some close to the family wondering whether Bec has finally had enough.
Following the on-court outburst, the Logie winner looked drawn and anxious when she took to the streets of London with daughters Mia, 7, and Ava, 2, while Lleyton took off with Cruz on his own.
