The memorial will air on both ABC, ABC News and Nine on Free to Air.
โBarry Humphries was a much-loved Australian and a huge loss to the arts community,โ said Mr Albanese, adding โThe Australian Government is pleased to work with the New South Wales Government to deliver a State Memorial to honour the life and legacy of this beloved entertainer.โ

In an interview with Piers Morgan, Mr Albanese stated that the celebration of Humphriesโ life would be across two states, stating that the state funeral would be โโฆco-hosted by the New South Wales and the Victorian Government, and the Australian Governmentโ, further adding, โMy government will be a part of that.โ
Previously speaking at a state parliament gathering, Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews stated that he was not aware the Federal Government would be involved in the state funeral proceedings, telling reporters โI canโt confirm for you where the service will be, or where the funeral will be.โ
In the weeks following the 89-year-oldโs death, tributes from across the globe have continued to flow as the world remembers the comic.
