There were plenty of reality TV stars at Flemington Racecourse for yesterday’s Melbourne Cup festivities, including one who we thought was still in hiding after his Bachelor stint.
Nick Cummins, strapped on the “bag of fruit” (that’s his suit to us regular folk) and spent the day partying with friends and taking snaps with admirers.
The Honey Badger made headlines around the country when he chose neither Brittany Hockley or Sophie Tieman in the jaw-dropping Bachelor finale and even fled the country as it aired to hike the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea.
But it turns out that while he doesn’t regret the experience, Nick says his search for love wasn’t exactly fun.
“I didn’t enjoy it a great deal but I don’t regret it because I learnt a lot,” Cummins revealed to the Daily Telegraph‘s Sydney Confidential column at yesterdays’ event.
But when he was quizzed about his love life, the former rugby star kept it very vague.
“My love life is very low key, I am a bit gun shy mate, I am just hiding out.”
The Sunday Telegraph reported that Nick is currently dating Steggles chicken heiress Lucy Steggles whom he has known for “some time” but after they hiked the Kokoda Track together in October, “their friendship turned romantic.”

Judging by his wild Instagram stories, the former Bachelor didn’t look too hung up about his experience.
In fact, he snapped photos with fans, took over the DJ decks and enjoyed, in his own words “a couple of sherbets.”
Yep, Nick Cummins is officially back and better than ever!

And for someone who’s a bit “gun shy”, the Honey Badger was spotted cosying up to a few female admirers, one of whom included former Married At First Sight contestant Carly Bowyer.
The reality star shared a snap of herself and Nick on her Instagram stories captioning it, “The new boyfriend…just jokes @nickbadger.”
OK so it may not be a thing right now, but we’ll be watching this space in case anyway.
