Aussie celebrities singing Sound of Music classic is hilarious.

We’re used to hearing Julie Andrews lyrical voice singing Do Re Me, with the Von Trapp children echoing her. For most of us, ‘The Sound of Music’ soundtrack was a staple of our childhoods; the soundtrack of our youth. But two things we never thought we would see together are the songs from this iconic movie and some of the most famous Australian celebrities singing them at the top of their lungs.

Yet, that’s exactly what’s happened. To celebrate the film’s golden anniversary, some of Australia’s biggest media personalities came together to create their very own version of the unforgettable show tune, Do Re Mi. It was interesting to say the least…

Special guests stars include Nicholas Hammond (Friedrich Von Trapp); Kerri-Anne Kennerly; Guy Sebastian; Shaynna Blaze; Ita Buttrose; Joe Hildebrand; Jessica Rowe; Leisel Jones; Lee Lin Chin; Richard Wilkins; Angela Bishop; The Australian Girls Choir; Ryan Fitzgerald (Fitzy); Ray Hadley; David Koch; Ben Fordham; Ahron Young; Ricardo Goncalves; Jonathon Moran; Melissa Hoyer; Michael Wipfli (Wippa); Andrew Reid; and Tim Gilbert.

The golden anniversary of the film’s premiere will be marked officially on April 22nd, with the release of the 4-disc 50th Anniversary Collector’s Edition. After looking through this, let’s just say we’re even more ready to leave the film in the professionals’ sturdy hands!
