Australian celebrities shine at G’Day USA

Some of Australia’s most beloved stars stepped out on the red carpet on Saturday at the annual G’Day USA Black Tie Gala Ball in downtown Hollywood.

Cate Blanchett, who attended the ball wearing a printed ivory silk top and skirt ensemble, presented Geoffrey Rush with the 2014 Excellence in the Arts award.

Cate offered a touching tribute to her fellow thespian by reciting a seemingly neverending list of the Queenslad-born actor’s achievements. Rush then returned the niceties by describing the Oscar-winning actress as a “truly a beautiful friend and great colleague and bodacious actress”.

Naomi Watts, Joel Edgerton, Jackie Weaver were also among the Aussie A-listers in attendance. Who gets your vote for best-dressed?
