The Sydney lockdown that began in the school holidays has seeped into the third term of the school year.

This means thousands of families across Australia are having to brave homeschooling, and this includes Aussie celebrities who are deep in the trenches as they attempt to get their kids to focus on their work.

Itโ€™s in no way an easy feat to command the authority of your children who arenโ€™t used to viewing their parent as a teacher โ€“ but it must be done, even if there are tears and meltdowns (from the parent or the kid).

However, the upside is that itโ€™s an incredibly unique and bonding experience that may even create some fond memories in 15 years.

These celebrities have shared their candid homeschooling moments, and they range from sweet to hilarious.

Hamish Blake

Hamish Blake

To have Hamish Blake as a dad sounds like a lot of fun and full of shenanigans, which is exactly whatโ€™s happening in the Blake-Foster house as the TV presenter attempts to homeschool his children.

Their lesson for day โ€œ4,000โ€ in lockdown was to make a grappling hook, which one can assume isnโ€™t written in the NSW curriculum.

Hamish posted a series of photos documenting his adventure with his son Sonny.

The first shot featured the tools they need, the second of their mastermind product and lastly, the boys out in a park working on the hook.

Hamish hilariously explained their process in the caption. He wrote, โ€œHomeschooling day 4,000: making a grappling hook to take to the park. Honestly, I just want to say to any ninjas following this account (or other professionals in the stealth-climbing game, ie: Batman, etc) I have a deep newfound respect for you if you make your own grappling hook.โ€

His respect for Batman and other climbing professionals continued in the rest of the post.

โ€œWhich I assume you must, as I have never seen one at Bunnings. I just donโ€™t feel like theyโ€™re commercially available. And yours would be heavy duty.

โ€œMine was made out of a coat hanger, and even then, I found it tricky. Anyway, to answer your question: yes. We are for hire for stealth missions if you have a tight budget and low expectations.โ€

Davidโ€™s daughter Betty was a little distracted during her first day at homeschool, but it appears her father couldnโ€™t help but laugh at her antics.

The TV presenter captioned the picture of his daughter holding two red capsicums to her eyes, โ€œFirst day of homeschooling. Betty made Capsicum Binoculars, made more jokes than I can keep track of, and I feel I should apologise to her teachers. #betty #funny #sydneylockdown.โ€
