Ashton Kutcher was positively beaming as he danced his way over to greet Ellen for a sit down interview on Wednesday in Los Angeles.
“You’ve been on the show many times but I think that’s the first time you’ve danced coming out,” Ellen commented on Ashton’s giddy behaviour.
“I just felt it today!” he quipped back.
Gushing about his adorable 17-month-old daughter, Wyatt, the 38-year-old father excitedly said:
“She loves dancing, she’s down with dancing.”
“I mean if I sing ‘the wheels on the bus go round and round’ she loses it,” Ashton said.
“We go to the playground and she gets on the little steering wheel and the wheels go round and she gets excited.”
The towering actor then proceeded to act out his baby girl’s signature dance move, which we might add was a pretty special moment on its own.
But his daughter’s favourite songs and super cute bouncing moves were only just the beginning. When the conversation took a turn towards his parenting techniques, the actor revealed that he only has one simple goal.
“That first year, you spend just trying to keep them alive,” he said.
“And then after that, you actually hit a point where your job is to keep them from killing themselves.”
“She tries to kill herself on a regular basis… You’d think that they would come with instincts around fire and large falls, and they don’t!”
The No Strings Attached actor also spoke about his wedding to long-time friend and now wife, Mila Kunis.
The couple tied the knot in secret at the Parrish Ranch in Oak Glen, California last July, and Ashton admitted that great measures were taken to ensure their big day stayed out of the public eye.
“It was a ninja effort,” Ashton explained. “We really didn’t want helicopters at our wedding,”
“We didn’t want to be screaming our vows at each other and being like, ‘Forever! Did you say never?’” he joked.
“We went really under the radar with it.”
Much to their delight, the new parents efforts paid off as they were able to keep their wedding ceremony private before heading on a romantic honeymoon to California’s Yosemite National Park and Napa Valley.
