It’s definitely one of the more interesting celeb bub names of late, but Ashton Kutcher has finally revealed how he and wife Mila Kunis, 32, settled on their newborn son’s name Dimitri.
“We’re on our way to date night, and Mila turns to me and she goes, ‘So, I think Donald Trump‘s gonna become the president and I think our baby‘s name is Dimitri… And I was like, [laughing] ‘Donald Trump’s not gonna win.’” the actor, 39, told Ellen DeGeneres recently.
“Then two weeks later, I got home from work, and for some reason the name just stuck in my head and I was like, ‘I think Dimitri is the name of the baby,’ and [Mila] was like, ‘I know, right?!’,” he continued.
While it seems like an unusual choice – especially since it sounds a lot like the name of a certain first wife of Ashton’s – the name is closely linked to Mila’s heritage, as Dimitri is the Russian version of the Greek name Demetrius.
Ashton scored some major husband points after revealing, “Everything Mila said is right… But she’s my wife, so that’s just what it is. Everything she says is right.”
The actor also revealed that he and Mila’s first born Wyatt – who they welcomed in 2014 – has taken to being a big sister like a duck to water.
In fact she loves her little brother so much Ashton also joked: “She thinks the baby‘s her baby.”
Cute!
