While she may have directed one of the biggest blockbusters of the year, Ange’s film was overlooked by the Hollywood Foreign Press as a nominee at this year’s ceremony.

“A few years ago, she would have been in,” One Hollywood Foreign Press Association member said of the matter.

But it appears they didn’t think the film measured up, despite her star power.

“Angelina’s hurt,” said one source. “She’s been upset that the film was overlooked.”

It comes as no surprise that Angelina was pained by the snub.

Unbroken was a labour of love for the actress which tells the heroic story of Louis Zamperini a war veteran, POW and Olympic athlete.

Angelina was heartbroken when Louis died prior to the film’s release.

“It is a loss impossible to describe. We are all so grateful for how enriched our lives are for having known him. We will miss him terribly,” she said in a statement at the time.

Although the film wasn’t nominated for a Globe, it has gained Oscar buzz.

In a turn of events Angelina’s ex-husband, Billy Bob Thornton won the award for Best Actor at this year’s Golden Globes. In a post-win interview he revealed he still keeps in contact with his famous-ex.

“Oh, yeah, from time to time. Not often. I don’t want to bug them,” Billy told interviewer Jerry Penacoli.

Everything’s so good in her life right now. I’m so proud of her movie that she’s got out (Unbroken). What a great thing,’ Billy said, agreeing that she’s a great director.

“I hope she does 10 more movies as a director.”

The cheeky  59-year-old revealed he had one big crush on Jennifer Aniston.

During a playful game of Who Would You Rather (a take on Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s Golden Globes act) the interviewers pitted Jennifer Aniston against Reese Witherspoon

“Jennifer Aniston. Lifelong goal, that’s all I’m saying,” the actor said, although he then added he was joking.
