It would seem Hollywood power couple Brad and Angie are planning to leave the bright lights of Tinseltown and head across the pond to England, and it’s all in the name of Angie’s flourishing political career.
“They’re househunting in London,” a source tells US Weekly. “Angie wants to slowly immerse herself in EU politics.”
The couple already have an enviable property portfolio with lavish mansions in LA, the south of France, and New Orleans – which is currently on the market if you have a cool $USD6.5million.
But despite touring a $39million, seven-bedroom Westminster mansion in June which would certainly be big enough for the whole family, nothing’s been signed just yet.
“It’s a huge investment. Neither of them wants to throw down that amount of cash,” concedes the source.
Since dipping her toes in the political pool in 2001 as a UN Goodwill Ambassador, Angie has been a tireless advocate for human rights, passionate about ending violence against women and actively involved in UK foreign policy. It’s a passion that seen her travel to more than 50 countries to give a voice to those who otherwise go unheard, often risking her own safety in the process.
“I’ve always gone wherever I felt I was needed,” explains Angie to Britain’s ITV News.
So is Angie planning to give up her spot on the red carpet to commit to the greater good? The 40-year-old recently headed behind the camera to direct romantic drama By the Sea and we can’t help but wonder if this recent development is her way of distancing herself even further from Hollywood.
She isn’t interested in making “a sudden career change,” adds the magazine’s source. “She doesn’t want to lose her directing momentum.”
