Angelina Jolie admits Maddox is already watching R-rated movies

Angelina Jolie may have been a wild child when she was younger but she’s still surprised that her kids are growing up.

Just like most parents, the mum-of-six thought she had everything under control until four years ago.

The 40-year-old was sharing parenting stories with her Kung Fu Panda co-star Jack Black and People magazine where she admitted her eldest Maddox, 14, has already seen R-rated films – much to her surprise.

“You think the kids know nothing, and then you find out they’re like, ‘Oh yeah, seen it.’ That happened like four years ago,” she quipped.

How time flies: On March 10, 2002, Angie adopted her first child, seven-month-old Maddox Chivan, from an orphanage in Battambang, Cambodia.

Jack admitted while his sons Samuel, nine, and Thomas, seven, adore the animated franchise, “They’re a little weirded out that I’m in them. They haven’t seen any of my movies except Kung Fu Panda. I don’t like to say, ‘Hey, you have to see School of Rock.’ ”

But the dad was quick to say that he wasn’t in any rush for his boys to see his more adult flicks.

“I don’t think they’re ready for The Pick of Destiny, where I smoke a bong with Satan. But someday they probably will be.”

For the Hollywood mum to Maddox, 14, Pax, 12, Zahara, 10, Shiloh, nine, and twins Knox and Vivienne, seven, that day has come.

“Whereas my eldest probably already has. My oldest especially loves Jack’s music. He’s introduced him to a few words, few thoughts,” Angie quipped.

While Maddox might be watching films he shouldn’t, he’s not afraid to help his family at work. He famously helped his mum with her new Netflix drama, *

“I was deeply affected by Loung’s book. It deepened forever my understanding of how children experience war and are affected by the emotional memory of it,” Angelina said in a statement. “And it helped me draw closer still to the people of Cambodia, my son’s homeland.”

While her new directorial venture is very different to her role of Tigress in Kung Fu Panda, the 40-year-old is still equally passionate about the kid’s film and even got her little ones involved in the voice roles.

“We force them!” Jack joked during a joint interview with his Oscar-winning co-star for Today USA. “It’s like, ‘Get out there and do your job. Earn some money for this family.'”

Angie clarified that four of her kids got a role while Jack’s son Samuel also got a part.

Jack and Angie have been friend since they first filmed Kung Fu Panda in 2008.

“What I think was so sweet about it was that they took it very seriously,” Angie gushed. “They came in and they said, ‘I don’t know if I can do this!'”

It’s clear the proud mama would support her kids in any of their ventures but she does seem hesitant for them to follow her acting path.

“We’ve always said, if they’re gonna be actors, I hope they do something and then be actors,” she explained.
