While model Bec, 26, confessed she was initially unsure if her 36-year-old beau was a bit of a “sleazebag”, two years – and a short break – in, she’s clearly head over heels.

“He’s a really sweet, kind, generous person,” she says of Andy, who, on the eve of his and sidekick Hamish Blake’s new show True Story, chatted to OK! about bad dates, bubs and Bec!

“I went on a dinner date when we were living in New York for Gap Year and had a fight with my date in the cab,” Andy tells OK!, who adds that the evening went from bad, to even worse.

Once the cab pulled up at their dinner destination, Andy suggested they call the date off.

“[But] she was like, ‘Nope, you said you were going to take me to dinner!’ So I ordered a main and she ordered a milkshake to go… I ended up eating by myself.”

Poor Andy!

Thankfully the love of his life, Bec was back in Oz – and soon, they would cross paths at a Melbourne café where she was working as a waitress at the time.

A university student, Bec says she thought Andy was a bit of a ‘sleezebag’ because of his long stint as a single lad, and his infamous Cleo Bachelor of the Year title.

“She soon realised I was quite the dork and quite the opposite,” he tells OK!.

So can we expect the 36-year-old and Bec, 26, to settle down and have kids anytime soon, just like Hamish?

“I’m happy with the sleep at this stage,” he says, laughing off our suggestion that he aim for a Brangelina size brood.

“Maybe if I was to adopt them in their teens and then they could do chores…[Actually] I’ll adopt them when they are 40 and I’m 80, so there’ll be someone to take care of me.”
