Andy Lee has addressed those engagement rumours surrounding the comedian and his girlfriend of two years, Rebecca Harding.
We’re used to Andy Lee playing the straight man to his zany partner in crime Hamish Blake, but right now Andy is all we care about.
Last week everyone was CERTAIN Andy had proposed following a very lovey-dovey Instagram photo posted by 25-year-old Rebecca, showing the couple at Nobu restaurant in Malibu.
This morning Andy spoke to radio show 105’s Stav, Abby & Matt with Osher and explained he wasn’t even aware of the fuss being made online until they couple started receiving offers of congratulations on the plane.
So did he, or didn’t he?
“You do get to a point Andy where you can’t book a trip away with your longtime girlfriend without going, every time I kneel down to tie my shoe she’s going to be expecting something,” Osher Gunsberg joked on his radio show this morning.
Lee agreed the rumours that are being written about him are for the most part, false and laughable.
“You always hire someone else to come and tie your shoelaces, that’s the trick.”
“I’ve been married a number of times already in my life, I’ve been pregnant a number of times already,” he joked on the radio.
“It’s amazing how many people, particularly in your life go, ‘hey, well done, I heard this or saw that,’ and you’re like, ‘no!’.”
Rebecca and Andy rekindled their romance in December after taking a brief break.
36-year-old Andy recently chatted to TV Week, admitting, “No-one is putting pressure on for a wedding.”
“We have a different approach in my family, and we’re not bothered by those things at all.”
With comments like that, we’re already expecting Mr Lee to try and pull a swifty on us!
The fuss all kicked off when Rebecca innocently shared one little photo on social media, which showed her in a white dress cuddling up to her man.
The 25-year-old model posted a sweet snap of her and Andy lounging back, enjoying some downtime at the Kardashian’s number one hangout, Nobu.
One fan observed: “Calling it,” adding five engagement ring emojis and two smiley faces.
While a pal of Rebecca’s asked a very pressing question through the use of emojis: engagement ring, confused face, monkey covering mouth and red love heart…
That roughly translates to: “Girl, did you just get proposed to?”
Guess we’ll be waiting a little longer to see a ring on Rebecca’s finger.
