When she’s not co-hosting the Today Show with Karl Stefanovic, Allison Langdon is co-parenting two kids with Michael Willesee Jr.
But tonight, the presenter has left her real family behind as she attends the 62nd TV WEEK Logie Awards with her Nine family.

(Image: Are Media)Speaking exclusively to TV WEEK, Allison confesses that she was more than happy to leave Michael at home with the kids and give herself a “weekend away” to relax.
“They’re [Allison’s kids] a little bit sick, hubby’s in charge and I did the whole, ‘Oh honey, you know, I’m sorry. I wish I was home,’ but I don’t mean it,” Allison says.

“It has been so fun. I slept in this morning. No one woke me up in the middle of the night. It’s bliss, It feels like a holiday, except I’ve gotta wear heels. But hey, I mean, if that’s what it takes to get a weekend away.”
Allison shares two kids with her partner Michael.
(Image: Instagram)The Today host also spoke about Karl Stefanovic’s nomination for the Gold Logie, attesting that “he’s got it in the bag”.
“He’s on air three and a half hours every morning. So you see him all the time. So, you know, he tries to pretend he’s the underdog. But I think he’s actually got an advantage because he’s on our screen every single morning.”
The devoted co-star assures us she voted for Karl about “a million times”, but confesses if he doesn’t take home the Gold, she’d love to see Hamish Blake win the honour.
“As long as it comes back to the Nine family, we’re happy,” Allison says.
Karl and Hamish are both nominated for the TV WEEK Gold Logie along with Home and Away‘s Ray Meagher, comedian Tom Gleeson, MasterChef‘s Melissa Leong, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!‘s Julia Morris, and Big Brother‘s Sonia Kruger.
Speaking to TV WEEK after learning of his nomination, Karl described the accolade as “very unexpected”.
“Honestly, I’m lucky to have a job,” Karl, 47, admitted.
“It’s a great privilege and honour to be in front of people every morning. I think when you go through a lot in life and you experience some of the things I’ve experienced and get removed from the show, you can learn lot from that.
“You can come back and treat it [the job] with the respect that maybe you didn’t before.”
