Alex Nation and her fiancé Carson Jory have shared many relationship milestones in their first year as a couple, from welcoming their first child together to getting engaged.
Now, the former Bachelor star has given her fans an insight into the details of her and Carson’s upcoming wedding.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday night, the mother-of-two, who gave birth to son Maxwell in August, teased that her nuptials will follow a “festival vibe”.
“Around 130 guests so [it will be] relatively big,” she said, adding that the ceremony will take place on her and Carson’s regional Victorian property.
“Think food trucks, naked tipi, a s–t ton of festoon and fairy lights, mix and match seating, fire pits, old sheering shed. I can’t wait!”
Alex went on to reveal that her and Carson, who got engaged in September, plan to wait until after they tie the knot to expand their family.
“There are so many things we want to do/achieve before we have another bubba. We don’t want them to be too far apart in age though,” she said.
She also opened up about how she dealt with prenatal anxiety in the lead up to Maxwell’s birth.
“Talking to my partner about how I was feeling, listening to my fave podcasts and meditation apps like Smiling Mind helped me a lot,” she shared.
Last month, Alex, who shares her 10-year-old son Elijah with her former partner, revealed how she manages the sometimes tricky process of co-parenting with blended families.
“Elijah’s dad, step mum, Carson and I do everything we can to make things as easy as possible for all of us,” she shared.
The 29-year-old, who shot to fame as the winner of Richie Strahan’s season of The Bachelor, revealed the key is “working together” and sometimes having to make compromises.
“Look, there are certainly days where I’m sure we all really can’t be bothered making the trek [between her house in Victoria’s countryside to her ex-partner’s home],” she said.
“We both have little bubbas who keep us very busy (and tired). But we do what needs to be done for Lijey. He’s number one.”
At the time she fell pregnant, Alex was just 18-years-old while Elijah’s dad Joel was 23.
The couple continue to co-parent despite ending their relationship and even went on holiday to Bali together at the end of 2019.
