The 28-year-old singer was putting on a concert in Nashville on Sunday night when she noticed that the confetti that normally falls from the ceiling with lyrics from her songs written on it was pink, rather than being white.

She told fans at the October 16 show: “We got pink confetti tonight. … This confetti is normally white!”

While she might have noted the colour change – she didn’t see that written on the blush pink paper falling all around her were actually handwritten love notes from her beau.

The tiny inscriptions read “Happy Anniversary,” “You are an angel,” “I love you” and “Love you long time,” according to photos shared by fans who were gushing about the dreamy gesture on Twitter.

Another user tweeted, “I really hope they filmed behind the scenes of when Adele finished the show last night and realized [sic] that the pink confetti was from Simon.”

According to The Metro at an earlier concert the Hello singer described having an “ache” in her womb after her son seemed to be growing up too fast.

“My son is about to turn four very, very soon,” the singer told the crowd.

“I’m starting to get very emotional about it because I feel like once they turn four, they’re not really your actual baby anymore.

“So my womb is starting to ache a little bit. It’s like, ‘Baby, baby, baby. Need a baby, need a baby’. I’m not pregnant. I won’t get pregnant until the end of the tour.”
