Sheโs the proud mother four-year-old son Angelo James.
But in her cover interview for the December issue of Vanity Fair, Adele has revealed her battle with postnatal depression after her sonโs birth, saying that it was so bad, it may have scared her off having more children.
โIโm too scared [to have more kids]. I had really bad postpartum depression after I had my son, and it frightened me,โ the 28-year-old confessed to the publication.
At first, the singer says she didnโt want to talk to anyone about her struggles but she eventually found solace in friends going through the same problems.
โI didnโt talk to anyone about it. I was very reluctantโฆ My boyfriend said I should talk to other women who were pregnant, and I said, โFโ that, I ainโt hanging around with a fโing bunch of mothers.'โ
โThen, without realising it, I was gravitating towards pregnant women and other women with children, because I found theyโre a bit more patient.โ
โOne day I said to a friend, โI fโing hate this,โ and she just burst into tears and said, โI fโing hate this, too.โ And it was done. It lifted,โ the London local reflected.

Adele says her partner Simon Konecki has supported her every step of the way.
Adele also revealed how the depression manifested itself.
โMy knowledge of postpartum โ or post-natal, as we call it in England โ is that you donโt want to be with your child; youโre worried you might hurt your child; youโre worried you werenโt doing a good job.โ
โBut I was obsessed with my child. I felt very inadequate; I felt like Iโd made the worst decision of my life. It can come in many different form,โ she said.

With the support of her partner of five years, Simon Konecki, the Hello hitmaker decided to implement an afternoon a week where she had her own downtime without her son.
โFour of my friends felt the same way I did, and everyone was too embarrassed to talk about it; they thought everyone would think they were a bad mum, and itโs not the case. It makes you a better mum if you give yourself a better time.โ
The star, who is about to wrap her world tour, also credited the support of Simon, 42, for getting her through everything.
โHeโs not threatened by any stage of my life that Iโm going for, and thatโs an amazing thing. Itโs the most serious relationship Iโve ever been in,โ she explained.
