While romance continues to elude her character in Home And Away, it’s all come up roses for actress Ada Nicodemou.

When she made her public debut with boyfriend Adam Rigby at the Logies this year, the 41-year-old – who has played Leah Patterson-Baker in Home And Away for 18 years – was the very picture of happiness.

“It’s such a great night,” Ada told TV WEEK. “And it’s always lovely to be able to share it with a partner. I love the Logies; it’s really special.”

Adam added that he was thrilled to have the red-carpet veteran by his side – despite how long it took to get there!

“I could move house, renovate and she’ll still be getting ready,” he joked, as Ada playfully nudged his shoulder.

“I’m a typical girl,” she said with a laugh. “I love getting ready and trying on dresses.”

Businessman Adam nodded in agreement when Ada suggested that life in the spotlight might take some getting used to for him.

But it’s what he admitted next that came as a surprise: he’d never watched the show that made Ada famous!

“We met at a work function and he had no idea who I was,” Ada recalled.

“It’s kind of cool though, right? I like that he had no idea about the show.”

Adam has since made up for lost time by visiting his partner on set in Sydney’s Palm Beach.

Ada, who has a five-year-old son with ex-husband Chrys Xipolitas, is relatively shy when it comes to discussing her personal life, preferring to keep a low profile.

But those days could be well and truly behind her.

“This is a great opportunity to do something fun together,” she enthused. “Plus, the food is so good [at the Logies] – we’re very good eaters.”

As for the future? Well, the pair remained tight-lipped on any engagement plans. But if their smiles were any indication, it might happen sooner than we think.

“We’re very happy,” Ada said.

It looks like Summer Bay’s unlucky-in-love Leah has struck gold in real life!
