The 2013 Academy Awards look destined to be a hit, with funny man Seth MacFarlane as host, a stellar array of nominees and — announced today — an outstanding list of awards presenters.
This year we can look forward to quips from first time presenters and Oscar nominees Jessica Chastain and Jennifer Lawrence, as well as a remarkable ensemble of previous winners including returning nominee Christoph Waltz, 2012’s best supporting actor.
We can also except to see the likes of Halle Berry, Sandra Bullock, Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman.
You may remember Berry’s best actress win in 2002, for an outstanding performance in Monsters Ball ; the first African-American woman to win in this category.
There will be appearances by various special guests including Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Daniel Radcliffe, Channing Tatum and Charlize Theron and performances by Adele, Dame Shirley Bassey, Norah Jones and Barbra Streisand.
Exactly what each of these presenters will have in store for us on the night is a mystery. Let’s all cross our fingers and toes and hope it’s not another cringe-worthy act, think Franco and Hathaway in 2011.
