When it comes to baking cookbooks and children’s birthday cakes The Australian Women’s Weekly’s Children’s Birthday Cake Book is a classic, if we say so ourselves.
Almost every Aussie can recall a childhood birthday party where some rendition of our iconic creations was presented and adorned with candles.
After 40 years on our shelves and in our kitchens, many have turned to book to bake everything from the swimming pool to the racetrack eight.
Now, one of our favourite celebrity mums, Zoe Foster-Blake has shared not one but TWO of the classic cakes.
But, they’re not in celebration of her children Rudy or Sonny’s birthdays, they’re marking the first birthday of her hugely successful skincare line for kids, Gro-To.
“Happy first birthday, @grotoskincare! You’ve never been cuter or more loveable or better at soothing skin,” the beauty entrepreneur wrote in a separate Instagram post.
“Thank you, Gro-To customers for allowing us to look after and play with your children, thank you Gro-To users, for being so cute and funny and ridiculous, and thank you Gro-To team for being so wildly brilliant, creative and clever. If it wasn’t my brand I’d be SPEWIN with jealousy.”
The skincare brand founder, mum of two and writer also shared both the cakes she created on her Instagram stories.
The first was the classic train, featuring Gro-To products in each of the colour coordinated carriages.
Then, what Zoe her “personal favourite”, was much-loved the swimming pool cake, which also feature the adorable products.
While Zoe credits the creations to Bake&Co Melbourne and the brand’s creative lead, Hilary, we’re impressed none the less. (Despite the choice of blue “NOT green” jelly as Zoe happily stipulates.)
