Wendi and Rupert Murdoch’s marriage ended in 2013 amidst a storm of speculation that the film producer was having an affair with former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, but the pair are still on cordial terms.
In a new interview with The Guardian, Wendi explained: “We are very friendly. We parent together and we go to school events together.”
“We have the same rules for the kids, like not to spend hours on social media. He’s an excellent father and we are on the same page.”
Wendi and Rupert split in 2013 after 14 years of marriage.
The former couple, who have two daughters, Grace, 15 and Chloe, 13, divorced three years ago after 14 years of marriage.
At the time of their break-up, there was much controversy surrounding a note the 47 year-old allegedly wrote about Rupert’s close friend Tony Blair, which read: “Whatever why I’m so missing Tony. Because he is so charming and his clothes are so good. He has such good body and he has really really good legs…”
Blair and Wendi have both denied that anything improper ever happened between them.
Wendi, whose maiden name is Deng, still goes by Murdoch, and she explained that she kept her married name as she wanted the same surname as her two daughters.
The former husband and wife have remained of civil terms in order to co-parent their children, while Rupert has found happiness since their divorce with model Jerry Hall, 60.

The couple married in March this year after a whirlwind romance. They were first spotted together in October last year, when they watched the Rugby World Cup final at Twickenham in London.
When asked how she feels about the media mogul’s new relationship, Wendi replied: “Mmm, next time you interview me we can discuss that.”
As for Wendi’s love life, there were rumours swirling that she was in a “serious relationship” with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but the mother of two certainly wasn’t giving anything away.
In March, the businesswoman attended Paris Fashion Week on the arm of 30-year-old British contemporary classical violinist, Charlie Siem.
However Wendi admitted she was dating, but with “no-one serious. No-one in particular.”
Wendi, 47, and Charlie, 30, looked cosy at the Giambattista Valli show in Paris in March but the businesswoman says she’s still single.
