According OK! Magazine 9-year-old Suri has been kept apart from her dad, Tom Cruise, 53, for over two years, but during a recent trip to New York to promote his film Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation the father/daughter duo organised a top secret play-date!
A source told the mag that their reunion was “emotional” as the pair embraced in a bear-hug when they met in an apartment – which belongs to a member of the actor’s management team, to avoid paparazzi sniffing around.
It’s previously been reported that Tom has allegedly kept away from his daughter Suri, for two years due to conflicting views about Scientology with his ex-wife Katie Holmes, 36.
Sources revealed to OK! that Katie was also at the play date.
“Suri was so excited, it was emotional for both of them. [Tom] was overcome seeing Suri again. He knows he could miss seeing her grow up if he’s not careful,” the insider explained.
Tom, who has controversially been part of the Church of Scientology for years, is also reportedly thinking of parting ways with the religious institution if it means that he can spend more time with his beloved daughter again.
