The handsome Purple Wiggle and his girlfriend Dana Stephensen sent fans into a frenzy when they recently hinted they may have some special news to share.
Lachlan Gillespie, 34, posted an image of himself and the stunning ballet dancer, also 34, snuggling up to one another amid rumours they’re preparing to welcome a baby.
And it sent social media into overdrive, with fans sharing their joy and flattering comments about Dana’s glowing skin. “Isolation baby?” one fan cheekily wrote.
“Time for a quarantine baby,” quipped someone else, while another demanded, “We want Lachy babies.”
The timing would be perfect for the couple, with Lachy’s Wiggles shows on indefinite hiatus and Dana’s ballet season ending early.
The couple also make no secret of just how in love they are.
Clucky Lachy often shares photos of himself spending time with Dana’s four-year-old son Jasper – whom she shares with photographer ex-husband Michael Kai – and seems like a natural at fatherhood. He recently posted a shot of himself and Dana, with Jasper sitting on their shoulders.
Lachy is clutching the youngster’s leg tightly and Dana’s grinning from ear to ear.
“I’m the luckiest girl because of these two,” boasted the besotted mum-of-one.
The prospect of a new Wiggles baby also appeared to captivate his famous bandmates.
Red Wiggle Simon Pryce and Blue Wiggle Anthony Field both posted heart emojis on recent photos on Lachy’s social media – and even his ex-wife, Yellow Wiggle Emma Watkins, has given their relationship her stamp of approval.
The beloved entertainer, 30, opened up to the public last year, saying she was “happy” Lachy had found love again. “We are the best of friends and we were always meant to be,” she said.
“We were close before we started dating and now we’ve come full circle! I actually don’t know if I could ever imagine doing The Wiggles without him.”
After two years of marriage, Emma and Lachy announced they were divorcing in August 2018, shocking Wiggles fans around the world.
Just four months later, Lachy met Dana when The Australian Ballet performed on set of The Wiggles. And despite rumours pointing to tensions on set, Emma – who has also become close friends with Dana – says they’ve never been better.

“At the time of our split, we were both learning a lot and both changing as adults. It’s definitely bizarre and not a normal situation but because we’re playing music, dancing with each other and always interacting, we’re back to being best friends again, which is nice,” she said.
And as for Emma, she’s found love again too, announcing late last year she had fallen for Wiggles band member Oliver Brian.
Yellow Wiggle Greg’s miracle
Beloved performer Greg Page says he’s lucky to be alive, after suffering a heart attack and collapsing on stage during a bushfire benefit reunion show in January.
“A bit of plaque in my arteries broke off during the show due to the blood flow and clotted,” he reveals. “I had no warning signs or pre-existing symptoms.”
Greg, 48, praises quick-thinking nurse Grace Jones, who was in the audience at the time and performed CPR on him, and also Sydney’s Castle Hill RSL for having a lifesaving defibrillator on site.
“If that piece of equipment wasn’t there, I wouldn’t be here today,” he says.
