The night belonged to Adele, who took out Album Of The Year for “25” and song of the year for “Hello”. But the mother-of-one, who also let slip she’d secretly married her partner Simon Konecki, refused to accept the accolade and instead dedicated it to fellow nominee Beyonce.

“I can’t possibly accept this award… and I’m very grateful but the artist of my life is Beyonce,” she said of the “Lemonade” star.

“This album to me, the ‘Lemonade’ album was just so monumental and so well thought out and so beautiful and soul baring,” Adele added.

Meanwhile big-sister-to-be Blue Ivy won the unofficial award for most adorable attendee! The five-year-old rocked a fuchsia pink tux, a nod to the late star Prince, as she sat on dad Jay Z’s lap and watched mum Beyonce, who is pregnant with twins, perform.

But it didn’t take long for the backlash to start, with many outraged fans and celebs alike fuming that Bey didn’t win Album Of The Year.
