And just like us, his daughter Bindi Irwin is โ€œbeyond excitedโ€.

Taking to Twitter, the 18-year-old shared the sweetest flashback with her main man, penning, โ€œBeyond excited to share with you all that we have just received news that Dad will be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.โ€

Meanwhile, wife Terri is exceptionally chuffed at the prestigious honour.

The activist shared the following statement: โ€œSteve has always said that he didnโ€™t care if anyone remembered him, as long as they remembered his message. I truly believe that this recognition for Steveโ€™s achievements will ensure that his message of wildlife conservation is remembered.โ€

The Croc Hunter will join a list of incredible celebs, including: Mary J. Blige, Sir Richard Branson, Petula Clark, Harry Connick Jr., Ice T, Snoop Dogg, Carrie Underwood, Weird Al Yankovic, Charles Aznavour, Lin-Manuel Miranda and late great Bernie Mac.

Bindi, Terri and Robert have dedicated their lives in continuing Steveโ€™s conservation work โ€“ a decision that wasnโ€™t made lightly.

โ€œIt was a conscious decision the trio made together while coming to terms with their grief a decade ago,โ€ Terri explained earlier this year.

โ€œWhen we lost Steve it was a real crossroads of deciding if youโ€™re just going to curl up in the corner or try to do something even bigger and better.

โ€œThe only way to honour Steve and his legacy and everything he lived for was to try to continue his work and expand on it.โ€
