The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced on Thursday that Mr Steve Irwin will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2018.
And just like us, his daughter Bindi Irwin is “beyond excited”.
Taking to Twitter, the 18-year-old shared the sweetest flashback with her main man, penning, “Beyond excited to share with you all that we have just received news that Dad will be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.”
Meanwhile, wife Terri is exceptionally chuffed at the prestigious honour.
The activist shared the following statement: “Steve has always said that he didn’t care if anyone remembered him, as long as they remembered his message. I truly believe that this recognition for Steve’s achievements will ensure that his message of wildlife conservation is remembered.”
The Croc Hunter will join a list of incredible celebs, including: Mary J. Blige, Sir Richard Branson, Petula Clark, Harry Connick Jr., Ice T, Snoop Dogg, Carrie Underwood, Weird Al Yankovic, Charles Aznavour, Lin-Manuel Miranda and late great Bernie Mac.
Bindi, Terri and Robert have dedicated their lives in continuing Steve’s conservation work – a decision that wasn’t made lightly.
“It was a conscious decision the trio made together while coming to terms with their grief a decade ago,” Terri explained earlier this year.
“When we lost Steve it was a real crossroads of deciding if you’re just going to curl up in the corner or try to do something even bigger and better.
“The only way to honour Steve and his legacy and everything he lived for was to try to continue his work and expand on it.”
