Look, we’re not going to lie.
Just as we were about to fall asleep into our keyboards covering a rather uneventful ARIAs red carpet, along came the ultralight beam that is Sophie Monk.

The Love Island host and former Bachelorette might be in the throes of a new romance but instead of bringing along her beau Joshua Gross, the 38-year-old has delighted fans by walking the red carpet with her adorable dad!
The dynamic duo, who have a cult following thanks to Sophie’s hilarious Instagram videos endlessly trolling her pa, were actually supposed to attend the Maxim Hot 100 party in Sydney earlier in the month but sadly had to skip the event as Sophie still wasn’t well enough following surgery for endometriosis.
But today they finally got their moment!
Soph’s dad Andrew Monk looked absolutely stoked to be at the event, even rocking a hilarious T-shirt with the words “Mr Monk since 1945” emblazoned across it.
He completed his look with a stylish black blazer and trousers.

The Monks take over the ARIA Awards red carpet!
Sophie cut a glamorous figure in a strapless white dress, which gave us major bride vibes. Which is very interesting given the fact she recently admitted she’d love to marry Joshua, who she met on a business class flight back in August.
While Joshua is technically still married, Soph already knows she’d love to marry the handsome marketing exec in a a low-key Gold Coast ceremony held in her back yard.
“When his divorce goes through we are talking about getting married,” Sophie told The Daily Telegraph.
Keeping it in the family! Sophie and her dad Andrew are incredibly close.
“I have waited and gone through so much s— to meet someone so good,” she added.
Sophie will no doubt cheering on her dear friend and singer Kasey Chambers tonight, who is set to be induced into the ARIAs Hall of Fame.
Just a year ago, Sophie was walking the red carpet with her then boyfriend Stu Laundy following their whirlwind romance on The Bachelorette.
The couple announced their split in January so we’re so happy to see Sophie in love again! Now, after that wedding maybe she and her dad can bring their hilarious antics to the small screen with their own reality show Meet the Monks.
