Sandra Bullock is already the proud mum to five-year-old Louis, who she adopted in 2010, and now the Oscar Winner has opened up her home, and more importantly her heart to another gorgeous bundle of joy.

Three-and-a-half-year-old Laila (pronounced Lila) graces the cover of People magazine with her brother and mum โ€“ needless to say they look every part the perfect family.

โ€œWhen I look at Laila, thereโ€™s no doubt in my mind that she was supposed to be here,โ€ the 51-year-old said of her daughter who had been in foster care in Louisiana.

โ€œI can tell you absolutely, the exact right children came to me at the exact right time,โ€ she added.

Sandra knows the frustrations of adoption well after beginning the process of expanding her family three years ago.

โ€œLouis spearheaded this whole journey,โ€ the actress revealed, and although the brother and sister have the strongest of bonds now, that wasnโ€™t always the case.

โ€œI knew she was scared, and all I wanted was for her to know Louis and I werenโ€™t going anywhere,โ€ Sandy said of her daughter, who came into their lives earlier this year.

Not only has Laila brought a whole heap of joy into the mum-of-twoโ€™s life, she has also added โ€œpink and glitter in the house mixed with Legos and Batmans.โ€

The stunning family photographs shared with People magazine were taken by Sandraโ€™s boyfriend Bryan Randall and they certainly highlight the broodโ€™s dynamic in all its glory.

Taking to Instagram to share the cover, Bryan mused that he was โ€œhonored to shoot this story. #greatfulandblessed.โ€

โ€œMy family is blended and diverse, nutty, and loving and understanding,โ€ she beamed. โ€œThatโ€™s a family.โ€

Touchingly, Sandra, who is clearly bursting with pride, revealed just how in love with her life she is.

โ€œI have no idea what a traditional family looks like anymore. If a traditional home is one that is filled with lots of love and poop jokes, no sleep, schedule books filled with more kidsโ€™ social events than adultsโ€™ and lots of yelling over who touched who first, then I have a very traditional family.โ€

Congratulations Sandy, we could not be happier for you.
